Hüttenberg, Germany

I am currently living in Hüttenberg, a rural village about 20 kilometers from the university city of Giessen and 60 kilometers from the financial capital of Frankfurt, which I am ashamed to admit I have not yet visited.  Hüttenberg has a population of about 10,000.  It is basically all farm land out here. Naturally, animals are a common sight.

Just want take a second to shout “Go Giants!”  (As a native New Yorker, it is my absolute duty to acknowledge the Giants’ win in some way.)

Whenever I think about past Superbowl celebrations, a lot of things come to mind:  family, friends, decorations, and, of course, hunger.  On this particular occasion, pizza and hot wings are to the Superbowl what turkey is to Thanksgiving.  So, yeah, it sucks for those whose dietary restrictions prohibit them from eating fried animal muscle.

The London Dog

I was blessed enough to visit the magical city of London for a week around the time of New Years. Naturally, I toured all of the major sites: Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery, the Tower of London, etc. Of course, the avid window-shopper in me had to make a quick stop at Harrods.

By the time I arrived at the department store, it was nearly closing time, so I had to choose what I wanted to see wisely. After glancing at the store map (yes, the store is so big, they provide customers with a map), I decided to head to the Pet Spa.
